Taiton vuoksi pääkirjoitukselle on enemmän tilaa kuin aiemmin. Päädyin kirjoittamaan tällaisen, asiallisemman ja esittelevämmän tekstin.

Welcome to the fourth issue of The Zin Letters!
This time the topic is heroic Orlanthi adventures, or heroquests as they call them in Glorantha.
Alison Place opens the show with a heroquest set in Prax. Remember the River of Cradles, the new Lunar settlements and Duke Raus? Now he needs you to talk to a river goddess. Prax or not, this adventure works anywhere where there’s a river prone to flood. Our special thanks go to Alison for proof-reading the translated texts in this issue.
How do herobands take form, and what keeps them together? We’ve all read the stories, but with Eetu Mäkelä’s heroquest you can actually play it through and create your own heroband with its own wyter. Eetu also provides us with a mythic commentary by those soulless God Learners, deconstructing the quest in a meticulous manner. Illumination awaits the daring mind!
In our third adventure Matti Järvinen presents a headstrong story full of rash action in the traditional way of Orlanth. Heler has vanished, and Daga’s going to get beaten for it! What I find really cool is that Matti wrote a parallel heroquest for Ernalda. This shows how heroquests of the same pantheon link into each other, how different yet similar they can be, and how every successful man depends on the support of a wise and loving woman.
Topi Pitkänen, our master of Gloranthan esoteric, has written a short story filled with meaning: A founding myth for a tradition, a description of God Time encounters, a heroquest for guarding Umathtula from enemies, and an example of how feasts can easily turn into wars. There is more, but I’ll leave it for you to discover. Enjoy!
On a wider perspective, with Tradetalk, Hearts in Glorantha, Rule One, and an occasional article in Signs and Portents, it seems the Gloranthan fanzine scene has found new vigour. Let’s hope this lasts. Compared to the other zines, The Zin Letters is of a very slowly brewing quality, and as of yet available only in print. If you would like to see more Zin Letters, you might like to feed us with adventures, articles and illustrations (you can find the E-mail address on the next page). I’d like to think there’s enough Gloranthan fan goodness there for four Glorantha ‘zines.
Finally, it’s my pleasure to say Thank You! to Juha, Kasimir, Lotta, Samuli and Simo for their illustrations, and to Simo for doing the layout and the tremendous graphic design.

Minusta ainakin toimivaa tekstiä. Kyllä tuollainen päätoimittajan, ikään kuin kommenttiraita sopii pääkirjoitukseen vallan hyvin. Eli ei moitetta ainakaan minulta :).

Hyvältä näyttää munkin silmääni. Antaa samalla vähän vielä lisäkiitosta tärkeimmille tekijöille, niinkuin minusta hyvin sopiikin. Topin tarinaa esittelevän kappaleen lopussa olevavan "There is more..." lauseen tosin ehkä tipauttaisin omaksi kappaleentyngäkseen.

Tuo "There is more..." liittyy nimenomaan Topin artikkeliin, ja leikkii artikkelissa muutaan kerran toistuvan "There is more":n kanssa. En siis viittaa sillä koko lehteen, vaan nimenomaan Topin artikkeliin. Siksi se on siinä kappaleessa kuin on.
